Dr. Lauren Meshkov Bonati is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon who specializes in cosmetic and laser procedures, Mohs micrographic surgery, and medical dermatology.

Dr. Bonati graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree and internal medicine internship diploma from the University of Miami, where she was elected to the Alpha Epsilon Lambda graduate honor society. She completed her dermatology residency training at the Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine in New York City, where she served as Chief Resident in charge of cosmetic training. Dr. Bonati was the recipient of three academic scholarships and mentorship awards to study with top leaders in cosmetic dermatology. For her resident research on microneedling and laser treatment of stretch marks, Dr. Bonati was recognized by the New York Academy of Medicine during her final year.

Dr. Bonati was selected for advanced fellowship training in cosmetics, lasers, and Mohs micrographic surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, MA, the longest established program of its kind in the nation. At SkinCare Physicians, Dr. Bonati was trained by internationally recognized procedural dermatology pioneers from Harvard, Dartmouth, and Brown University. She received her fellowship diploma from the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Bonati has co-authored numerous scientific papers in domestic and international peer-reviewed journals and has served as an invited guest journal editor on an issue focusing on medical considerations for the female aesthetic patient. Dr. Bonati has participated in cutting edge clinical research and several FDA trials that bring new products to market. Her research and publications have included topics such as state-of-the art laser technology for tattoo removal, laser treatment of acne scars, surgical scars, and rosacea, laser safety, soft tissue filler safety, cellulite treatment, microneedling radiofrequency for skin tightening, microneedling plus topical skin care for wrinkle reduction, best practices for treating young cosmetic patients, best practices for reducing procedural pain, transgender aesthetics, homeopathic arnica, the use of retinoids for acne, and seborrheic keratoses. Dr. Bonati has additionally co-authored a book chapter on the use of soft tissue fillers and has lectured as faculty at national conferences.

Dr. Bonati is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She continues to research, publish articles, and present her work at national meetings.

In addition to her medical pursuits, Dr. Bonati is an accomplished pianist and vocalist with a degree in music theory and composition. She enjoys travel, history, musical theatre, and cherishes time spent with her husband and young daughter exploring the beautiful mountains of Colorado!
